The first project meeting initiating the two-year cooperation of partners from Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, Turkey and Poland took place on November 29. – 01/12/2017 in Villafranca de Cordoba, Spain. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the assumptions of the project as well as the methods and individual stages of their implementation.
As the project ultimately involves making a film about intolerance and inequality, as a result of the brainstorming, participants came up with a proposal to narrow this topic down to inequality between women and men, as it is a serious and important problem in most partner countries. As a result of the discussion, examples of such inequality were found, including situations involving home and family, work, women in the media, and women as sexual objects. It was decided that the final decision should be made together with the students participating in the project and therefore the subject of the films will be determined during the first student exchange.
During the project meeting, it was agreed that the length of the final film will be about 45 minutes, of which each film of a given school should take about eight minutes.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the calendar of the 2017/2018 school year in individual countries, so as to set the dates of two project meetings in Italy and Bulgaria.
The accommodation of participants in project meetings was also discussed. In the light of the presented arguments (young people come from less affluent environments, often live in neighboring towns, where commuting to school takes a long time and requires the use of various means of transport that rarely run), the idea of organizing accommodation in hostels and hotels was accepted.
However, it was proposed that all partners should choose the same accommodation to facilitate the implementation of the project activities.
The partners agreed to keep in touch via email as well as WhatsApp.
The next point of the meeting was the selection of the project logo designed by partner schools. It was decided that the best solution would be to create a logo combining school designs from Italy and Turkey.
In addition to discussing numerous formal issues related to the implementation of the project, the first project meeting allowed us to meet people with whom we will work for the next two years. Certainly, the establishment of closer relations was possible thanks to the beautiful Andalusian landscapes during the trip to Córdoba with Spanish delicacies and a gala dinner in the rhythms of flamenco.
